SSUSA National, Jaime Alexander—San Francisco, CA (Midfield)

Jaime Alexander—San Francisco, CA (Midfield)

I am thankful to the sport of soccer because all my life I have been happy to play it. My dream was to be a professional soccer player, but because of some poor choices I started to drink alcohol heavily and became homeless. The Street Soccer program has helped me get my life back and in order. Playing on this team is really helping me to be a better person and be more responsible.”
- Jaime Alexander

Jaime plays on the San Francisco Team coached by David Rodrigues and Antoine Lagard. Antoine, a former player on the 2009 SSUSA Championship team and David coached their team to the finals of the 2010 Cup. The focus of the San Fran program, run in partnership with the Glide Foundation, has been to connect homeless teens and young adults to housing with a special focus on getting their high school diploma.

Make an online donation during the month of September and receive a free, red, SSUSA supporters' bracelet.
